Grammar translation method is a foreign language teaching method derived from the classical or some times called traditi6nal rnethod of teaching or some times called traditional method of teaching Greet an Latin in the nineteenth century "Grammar translation method used for the purpose of helping students read and appereciate foreign language literarature and students would become more familiar with the grammar of thier native language and help them speak and write their native language better" ( larsen, 2000: 11 )'6

Student in this method develop the ability to read and write in the target language, especially its grammar and vocabulary that are learned from bilingual word list which can be boring used as a main task. The mother tongue is used as the medium of intruction, would not work for any from of listening and speaking teaching. Unfortunately, this method hardly given any attention to listening and speaking skills, and the result is usually an inabi(ly on the part of the students to use the language for communication. The goal of this method is to be able to read and translate literary, master pieces and classics.

The effect is defined to change ability that the stdents have after habe being by using certain technique of teachingAt is uaually in expect method in which is an idea or hypothesis tested of verified by setting up situations in which the relationship betwee different subject and variables can be determained.

Effect of teaching treatmeant in language is related in the changes of getting systems. The result of effect in teaching is the improvement of ability. The ability is the result of learning process which involves teacher with students.

The improvement in which achievement by the students then are realized the form of score so in that it will be acknowledged the certain position of a students in the class because the scores they have reflect their improvement in the learning process.

2.1.15. Technique to Aquire Good Vocabulary

Expending the vocabulary require motivation, positive attitude and skills. The it is needed to spend a lot of time to learn words that you do not know.

"To improve your vocabulary, ones must be willing to work at it, spending time and effort to notice and learn new words and meaning " (fanani and jasmine, 2008 : 76 ).I7 This means to improve vocabulary one must learn regulary the words from varied sources, and can not make in one day

One of the best ways to increase the vocabulary is trough reading. Reading makes easy to understand and translate the text into target language. The attitude toward reading will also influence the extent the vocabulary develops. If one enjoy your reading and you read range of subject, you will frequently encounter new words.

Must make every effort to learnt a lot of vocabularies. One should make a target how much he/she must learn vocabulary in a day. Therefore, one must make a plan to make easier to master vocabulary.            .

There are some techniques that can be used to acquire good vocabulary, namely:

1.      Plan the action

Your vocabulry will certainly increase through your life you plan your action of learning more and more new words. For example, make a list of at least ten new words your would like to add to your personal dictionary or memory

2.      Firm determination

You must have a firm determination to increase your vocabulary. If the determination is weak, you may leave your efforts in vain. Aviod this, you need to a determination before you start.

3.      Be selective with words

To be succesful you must be selective with words. Try to find new words by listening, reading and talking to others. Develop a strategy to select interesting and new words regularly. New words refer to the words which are not in your vocabulary. Yopw vocabulary consist of the words you use confidently because you know their meaning and usage, there are many words that you have never heard and seen, so you do not use them. these words are not part of your natural vocabulary. Whenever you find a new word, find out it's meaning and usage before incoporating it into your natural vocabulary.

4.      Read and Listen Carefully

Curiosity to learn new word will arise in you have the necessity of reading and listening carefully. When you do so, you will come across with many new words, some of these words may be very intersting, diffrent students, having various meanings and you may like to adopt them in your oral and writen language.

5.      Consult your language

Dictionary is an important tool to help build your vocabulary and reading skills. If you use dictionary intelligently, you will find it not only an aid to education but also source of pleasure.

There are some advantage that you can take from dictionary;

a)   How to spell a word or it's special plural form.

b) How to break a word into syllables.

c) How to pronounce a word.

d) Different meaning of a word along with it's synonym and antonym.

e) A sentence or an expression that uses a word correctly.

f) How word fit into the English system of grammar.

g) The meaning of important prefixes and suffixes

h) Special uses of a word

i) Word make from manin word

6. Curiosity

Until you have curiousity to learn new words, you can not increase your vocabulary, curiousity is very essential to know anything new if you have curiuosity to learn new words, it will help you to increase your vocabulary.
