Character education is one important thing to establish and maintain a national identity. Unfortunately, character education in Indonesia need to be given special attention because it has been the introduction of a new touch to the level of norms or values. Character education has not performed to the level interalisasi and action in everyday life.Education in Indonesia is likely to put forward the mastery of knowledge and intelligence aspects, but ignore the character education. Knowledge obtained in the moral code of moral or ethical education in schools is now being abandoned. Some people started to not notice anymore that education has an impact on a person's behavior. Though education is expected to deliver a strong character generation, because people can actually be educated, and to be early. Although humans have innate character, does not mean the character can not be changed. Change the character presupposes a hard struggle, an ongoing exercise to live good values ​​and can not be separated from the surrounding environmental factors. Disclosure era of globalization has negative factors such as erosion from national values ​​considered as narrow as patriotism and nationalism yangdianggap incompatible with the values ​​of globalization and universalization.Concerns about the nation's character development that starts from early childhood education to special attention from the president.
